Residential Sharps Disposal Program

The residential sharps disposal program is designed to give residents a safe and simple way to discard used needles, syringes, and other medical sharps. This service helps prevent injuries, keeps sharps out of the trash, and supports a cleaner, safer environment.

Individuals can drop off their sharps containers in sharps kiosks located in several locations throughout Woodford County. 

Items that ARE accepted:

• Needles
• Syringes
• Auto-Injectors (example: EpiPen)
• Lancets

Items that are NOT accepted:

• Unused or expired medications - Click here for area locations
• Trash
• Non-medical  sharps
• Gloves
